Ballygalget became the first Down team to qualify for a Section 1 final of the North Antrim Indoor Hurling League when they made it through to next Saturday’s top grade decider against Glenshesk. The two came out on top of Saturday’s second-round games at Cross & Passion College on Saturday last and will now meet in the main event at next weekend’s finals day in the Seven Towers Leisure Centre, Ballymena. The Section 2 final will also be an Antrim v Down affair with Shane O’Neill’s Glenarm facing Breda while in Section 3 Con Magees Glenravel do battle with Ruairi Og Cushendall. In Section 4 Cloughmills will meet Swatragh in the final while Con Magees 2 will make it a big day for the club when they line-out in the Section 5 final against either Slaughtneil of Owen Roe. Section 6 will see Ballycastle 2 take on Muff from Co. Donegal while the Section 7 final, which gets proceedings underway, will be between Loughgiel 3 and St Comgall’s who have made it through to their first ever final.
