To JHC in the Country. I agree. I have just posted the same on the Antrim GAA guestbook. I would not go to Casement to watch JHC or IHC if my team was not in the final. But if it was in Loughgiel, Dunloy or Ballycastle -I would go to watch the match as would many other gaels in my club if the match was in North Antrim. Getting a fixture near home on final day is an advantage but some do not see it that way. A pitch does does not play the game the team does!!!

why is there so much crying about the JHC not being played at casement. Lets be honest here for one moment, this match is not likely to catch the imagination of the good people of belfast nor any other person aside from the two clus involved. A north antrim man myself would not be bothered driving to the big smoke to watch a final in this grade. On the other hand a final such as this played in dunloy or loughguile is much more likely to draw a larger crowd and the shorther drive might encourage a few more brave souls to go watch this game. As for atmosphere im afraid my friend a few hundred folk in casement wont even be heard and the final played in north antrim is your best option if its a bit of atmosphere your after. Oh and i nearly forgot. Best of luck in the final.

Am I the only North Antrim supporter posting good luck messages to the Senior County team on Sunday. There is quite a few North Antrim players on the panel - yet very little is on this website about the match!!!!!

Why do they not seperate the junior league into two divisions making them 2 way?
Would make it more attractive to teams from derry and so on to apply to play or get the likes of ballycastle to enter?
Just a thought know this cant be done mid season but might be worth a thought, more competitive fixtures giving a club a chance to win something they havent won before?

in a chat with james mc clean he said that they should be able to field a team made up of reserves and such and when speaking to dessie donnelly i suggested their reserves as the grading of 24 players for b/castle would make it unappealing for them.Im sure dunloy would enter the spirit it is intended for.creggan cant make it as said in prev post.anyone know if some of those south derry teams would be keen.

Liam are you saying you have asked Ballycastle and Dunloy to enter their reserve teams against the other Junior Teams? Dunloy reserves hammered Cushendall reserves last weekend, what chance do you think their 3rd team would have?
